CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS
April 1, 1926 |
A Scientific Research Institute of Water Resources of Ukraine is established under the Ministry of Education (Commissariat). Prof. E. V. Oppokov is approved as a Director of the Institute. |
1927 |
The first volume of the Institute Proceedings |
1934 |
The Institute is submitted to the system of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. |
1937 |
The Institute has suffered a heavy loss. Its founding Director, Academician E. V. Oppokov has been accused of spying and executed. |
1938 |
After the major personnel changes, the Institute was renamed to the Institute of Hydrology of Ukrainian SSR. |
1940 |
A Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR G. I. Suhomel becomes the Director of the Institute. |
1941 |
Temporary cessation of activities of the Institute and its inclusion as a department of the Institute of Structural Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR. Evacuation to Ufa (Bashkortostan, Ural region of Russian Federation). |
1944 |
Institute is reactivated as an independent organization and renamed to the Institute of Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR (Director – Academician G. I. Suhomel). |
1958 |
A Candidate of Technical Sciences M. Didkovskiy becomes the Director of the Institute. |
1964 |
The Institute is transformed into the Institute of Hydromechanics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR. |
1966 |
Academician G. V. Logvinovich becomes the Director of the Institute. |
1972 |
A Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR A. Ya. Oleinik becomes the Director of the Institute. |
1981 |
A Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR A. D. Fedorovskii becomes the Director of the Institute. |
1987 |
Prof. V. T. Grinchenko (now he is an Academician of NAS of Ukraine) becomes the Director of the Institute. |
2021 |
A Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine G. Voropaiev becomes the Director of the Institute. |
