COMPUTER HYDROMECHANICS, 2024 (Program, Abstracts)
IX International Scientific & Practical Conference "Computer Hydromechanics"
The Joint Research Laboratory "Energy Technologies for Sustainable Development" at the Institute of Hydromechanics of NAS of Ukraine was established in 2007 together with the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) and the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". Its main task is to bring together science, education and business in the development and implementation of modern technologies of renewable energy for heating. This laboratory is the only institution in Ukraine, which is applying the Swedish experience, deals with calculation and design of large modern heat pump stations for district heating. In recent decades, Sweden is known as one of the leading countries in the development of modern high-energy technology, implementation of which is now extremely important for Ukraine.
In the past five years, the laboratory staff have borrowed and adapted the European experience in the field of long-term planning and implementation of systemic innovation in cities to the Ukrainian conditions. The laboratory is also actively cooperating with domestic producers of heat generating equipment, in particular with corporations "European Energy Company" and "Ukrinterm."
