At January 31, 2012 the Ukrainian participants of the
ERAIHM project from the Institute of Hydromechanics of NASU have attended
the Final conference summarizing the accomplishing of the project
BILAT-UKR under the aegis of FP7.
For us, the presence at this conference was much more
than just a protocol event. Indeed, the essence of BILAT-UKR project was
in strengthening of bilateral science and technology cooperation between
the EU and Ukraine in particular through a stronger participation of
our researchers in FP7 and other initiatives for partnership.
For this purpose, the better information of domestic scientists about
the perspective topics of the Programme via National Contact Points,
development of the methodological instruments for future
sustainable interaction in this sphere
and high-level dialog with the Ministry of Science and Education of
Ukraine were intended. In more detail, the goals, task and achievements of
the project may be found at BILAT-UKR
web-site.
The opening of the conference was a plenary sitting.
Deputy Director for Russia/NIS
in CNRS, France, Martine Bonin - a Coordinator of BILAT-UKR project,
the 1st Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Science,
Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine Boris Grinyov,
Vice-President of NAS of Ukraine Anton Naumovets,
DG Research and Innovation Officer
Dr. Jürgen Sanders
have made presentations at the morning session.
Afternoon, the sectional sittings dedicated to the directions of BILAT-UKR
working groups have been held. We have chosen the most interesting
for us option
"Setting-up European Technology Platforms and Innovation Programmes".
During the discussion accompanying the speeches at the section
the distinct difference was mentioned between the directive-command
system occurring typical
for Ukraine and more compliant European approaches implying the deep
involvement of the society to active development of innovation strategy.
Late in the day, the leadership of ERAIHM project has brief unofficial
meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
France in Ukraine Mr. Alain Rémy and Coordinator of BILAT-UKR
project Mrs. Martine Bonin.
