On June 20, 2011 in the Conference Hall of the E. O. Paton Electric
Welding Institute of NASU, the Information Day on the FP7 Thematic Research
Priorities "Energy" and "Environment (including Climate Change)"
has been conducted. The main its objective was to inform the Ukrainian
researchers about the topics of the FP7 competitive calls on the above
Priorities adopted for 2012.
The National Information Centre for Ukraine-EU Scientific and Technical
Cooperation (NIP/Ukraine) and the Institute of Fundamental Technological
Research of Polish Academy of Sciences were the co-organizers of this
event.
The challenging topics on the Priority "Energy" were listed by Alexandra
Camilleri (Malta Council for Science and Technology), anf on the Priority
"Environment" - by Viorel Vulturescu (Romania, Coordinator of the Network
ENVIRONMENTAL-NCP-TOGETHER).
Also, the auditory was acquainted with the statistics of participation
in FP7 in the mentioned directions for EC members and affiliated
countries. These data were reported by Barbara Trammer (Institute of
Fundamental Technological Research of Polish Academy of Sciences).
A training on increasing of chances of submitted calls was conducted on
the base of experience of successful projects in FP7.
The ERAIHM team in the Infoday was represented by the Chairman of the
Steering group Prof. Victor Grinchenko and Project Secretary
Dr. Valery Oliynik. During the discussion, the EC officers were informed
about some problems arising before the Ukrainian participants of FP7 being
the Project Coordinators of in relation with specifics of
implementing of the national financial laws.
