ABSTRACT
The investigation is aimed at determining the basic parameters of the functioning of shaped charges. This is the velocity of the leading part of the shaped charge jet (CSJ), the strength and the density of its material, and the required charge caliber for guaranteed penetration of the solid barriers of the limited size for two liners of a conical shape, which are used often in products of civil and military significance. Following the results of investigations of the author and other predecessors were obtained the dependences of the velocity of the copper shaped charge jet on the detonation velocity of the explosive was obtained of the explosive materials based on RDX and HMX, which are close to linear for two angles of the liners at the tops of 42° and 50°. In the first place, it is possible to move into the area of explosives with lower and higher detonation velocities using the method of their development for the design of charges of different purposes. The main models of penetration of gradient-shaped charge jets are analyzed from the point of view of the possibility of their properties for engineering assessment of the caliber of the shaped charge required for guaranteed piercing of the solid barriers. To assess the depth of penetration of CSJ has been used formulas are based on the A-V model. The results of the study can be used for defining the required caliber of the shaped charge from various explosives with two forms of liners. Attention is drawn to the state of substances in the zone of interaction between the shaped charge jet and the solid barrier.
