Analysis of the supercavitating body dynamics and control basing on the G.V.Logvinovich theory

Efficiency of approximating methods of calculation and computer simulation of the unsteady supercavitation flows basing on the G.V.Logvinovich's theory for research of problems on the supercavitating body dynamics is shown. Analysis of calculation of trajectories of the self-propelled guided supercavitating vehicle arbitrary 3D motion, and also of the supercavitating body free 3D motion on inertia is given. Effect of the body mass center position on the supercavitating body dynamics for both the model classes is investigated. Estimations of efficiency of the hydrodynamic rudder application for both the supercavitating vehicle depth maneuvering and the course maneuvering are given. A problem on optimal position of rudders along the supercavitating vehicle length is investigated.
