The approach to the analytical analysis of cavity flow

A review of author's researches of a steady axially symmetric potential cavity flows of ideal incompressible fluid is presented. Construction of an approximate solution in closed form is carried by using the results of series numerical solutions of the problem. As an example of the proposed approach approximation analytic solution of the Riabouchinsky problem for a disk and a cone are given. In a wide range of cavitation number the integral and local characteristics of the cavity flow, calculated by the proposed approximation dependencies lead to the results that differ insignificantly from the results of our numerical solution based on the exact nonlinear formulation.
