Coherent vortex structures of the turbulent boundary layer on the longitudinal streamlined cylinder

In the paper the results of experimental researches of the structure of turbulent boundary layer on the flexible extensive longitudinally streamlined cylinder are presented. Researches of the wall-pressure fluctuation field by the ensemble of miniature sensors, flush-mounted with the streamlined surface, allowed to study the features of forming and development of the coherent vortical structures of the boundary layer. The structure scales, their the generation periods and distance, which coherent vortices are passed up to the degeneration, are determined. Influence of the streamlined surface curvature of the cylinders and the flow regimes on the structure of the vortex motion is demonstrated. Approximating dependencies of determination of coherence function of the pressure fluctuation field, convective velocity of moving of the vortical structures, their longitudinal scale and distance of transfer along formative of cylinder up to degeneration are resulted.
