Different-level mathematical models of the coefficient of turbulent viscosity

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 12 (84) ¹ 1, (2010) p.55-67
The results of mathematical modelling of wall shear flows on the base of unified approach to turbulebce models constructing are presented. A family of semi-empirical models of turbulence having different possibilities to account a difficulty of physical aspects of turbulent motion dynamics together with common principle of forming is considered. The results of approximate-analytical and numerical predictions for different turbulent boundary layers are illustrated. Possibilities of developed unified approach are demonstrated for modeling of several kinds of flows with known experimental distributions of local and integral characteristics.
