On hydrodynamical equations referred to the moving axes

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 11 (83) ¹ 1, (2009) p.16-43
Different forms of equations of motion of an ideal homogeneous (compressible and incompressible) fluid referred to one and the same moving coordinate system have been derived using the methods of analytical mechanics, and their relationships have been determined. It has been deduced new forms of equations in the moving axes, including the equation ``of an absolute motion of a fluid referred to the moving coordinate system'', which differs from the classical equation with the same name. Classification of the referred to the moving axes equations has been offered. The general statement about coincidence (under certain conditions and to within the shift transformation of spatial variables) the classsical equations of relative motion and the new equations of absolute-relative motion of the fluid has been formulated and proved. This statement is illustrated by examples of a movement of the coordinate system along a surface of the Earth and angular fluctuations of a tank with a fluid under the laboratory conditions.
