On mechanical ground suffosion under the action of cylindrical sink of variable intensity

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 8 (80) ¹ 4, (2006) p.43-52
An effective analytical solution is found of the axisymmetric problem of external mechanical piping at a sink intensity q(t) which varies according to a linear law. The cases of the above intensity decrease and increase are considered separately. When lowering q, the piping process is accompanied by the colmatage one what can cause a delay of rather substantial amount of non-structural particles within the deformation domain. Almost exact dependences are constructed for the concentration of the deposited particles and suspended matter. A partial linearization of the initial equation of filtration deformation is ground. Thorough analysis is performed of physico-chemical characteristics when varying q and initial content of uniform non-structural component within a wide range.
