Numerical Lagrangian approach of oil propagation on the water surface modelling

The numerical model of spreading of oil slick with the arbitrary shape on the water surface is presented. The model describes processes of slick spreading under the buoyancy forces and surface tension, transport by the wind and currents as well as horizontal diffusion. The numerical Lagrangian method which takes into account particles interaction was developed. The results of simulations are in a good agreement with the self-similar solutions of the problem.
