| Expressions for hydrodynamic wave characteristics - wave surface, hydrodynamic pressure and particles velocity fields in weakly irregular and nonlinear large-scale wave groups in sea conditions are considered. These expressions have been derived by using the multi-scale technique for the solution of the nonlinear boundary value problem up to V-th order of the small parameter - wave steepness. In the general case of the solution, nonlinearity, irregularity, 3-D effects of wave groups and the action of of wind surface pressure were under the consideration. For the particular case of the free 2-D wave groups practical formulae - useful for the calculations of ship and offshore structure response under the wind wave action have been yielded. Additionally, the asymptotics for periodic progressive Stokes waves is presented. |
