| Relationships describing the behaviour of the amplitudes of the velocity perturbations in a stably stratified fluid are determined by using the multi-scale methods. Different intervals of the final stage is considered. The decay rates of different types of motions (internal waves, layer and vortical structures) are compared to one another. Critical values of the horizontal scales of perturbances are found. This allows to determine the long-lived perturbances. |
