An effect of continuum flow on vibration of a shell

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 13 ¹ 1, (2010) p.17-21
The paper deals with considering of induced axisymmetric vibration of a cylindric shell with medium elongation situated in a flow far from zone of edge effect. The expressions for shell's bending as a function of its parameters and and the flow has been obtained for two types of boundary conditions, namely, the hinging and sliding fixation. Shell vibration amplitude in the case of moving surrounding continuum is shown to be always less than that in stationary medium.
