An active damping of forced resonance vibrations of a shallow viscoelastic composite cylindrical panel subjected to the unknown mechanical loading

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 11 ¹ 4, (2008) p.24-30
The problem on active damping of the forced resonant vibrations of the orthotropic viscoelastic composite cylindrical panel with simply supported edges is considered by new approach. The mechanical load is supposed to be unknown and is found after the experimental sensor's data. The problem is solved by the Bubnov-Galerkin method. The formula for a voltage to be applied to the actuator for compensating of the resonance panel vibrations has been obtained. The effect of the dimensions of sensors and actuators, dissipative properties of materials and the temperature on the effectiveness of active damping of forced resonant vibrations of the cylindrical panel have been studied.
