Modeling of transfer and pulse characteristics of hydroacoustic waveguides. A waveguide with perfectly reflecting boundaries

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 10 ¹ 4, (2007) p.59-69
Layered-inhomogeneous hydroacoustic waveguides are considered in the paper as the frequency filters described by a transfer function and pulse response. The technique for modeling the pulse response based on the discrete inverse Fourier transform is offered for the waveguides which field may be represented as a sum of normal modes. The pulse response is considered as a tool for studying the dispersion distortions of the signals in the time domain. Pulse responses of the waveguides with perfectly reflecting boundaries are modeled.
