Spiral waves in elastic twisted rotating tube rods with internal flows of liquid

The paper deals with the problem of free harmonic vibration of a rotating tube rod prestressed by a longitudinal force and torque and containing the internal liquid flows. It is found that vibration in such systems can be performed only as propagating cylindrical spiral waves. Four waves exist for every value of the wave parameter. Two of them are the right-hand spiral waves and two others are the left-hand ones. The dispersion analysis of these waves shows that they have different velocities for different propagation directions.
