| This review consists of two parts. In the first part, the Biot's theory for the description of poroelastic fluid-saturated media is presented and further directions for its development are analyzed. The Biot's model is compared with a model of porous media based on the theory of mixtures. Wave problems solved within the framework of the Biot's theory are described in the second part. |
