Electromagnetic excitation of ultrasonic longitudinal waves in isotropic metal cylinders. Part 1. Calculating the amplitude factors of normal waves and determining the frequency characteristic for ultrasonic transducer

The paper deals with solving the non-uniform boundary problem on exciting the harmonic ultrasonic waves in the hollow and solid isotropic cylinders with the circular cross-section by a system of volume and surface loads. The mathematical model of the electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer has been developed on the basis of expansion in terms of the normal waves. The peculiarities of the normal wave excitation process in the metal rods have been studied in wide frequency range.
