Amplitude-frequency characteristics of axisymmetric jet shells

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 8 ¹ 3, (2005) p.44-49
Forced vibrations of the elastic flooded jet shell modeling the operation principle of the uniflow and counterflow axially symmetric hydrodynamic radiators are considered. Frequency dependence of the amplitude of forced vibrations is calculated as a function of geometric and hydrodynamic parameters of jet shell. The effect of liquid properties and shell dimensions on the amplitude-frequency characteristic and quality-factor is analyzed. The computations are compared with the experimental results.
