Hydrodynamic characteristics of the electric discharge in liquid at input of energy into spherical channel in form of repeating pulses

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 6 ¹ 2, (2003) p.17-22
An external hydrodynamic problem of an underwater electric discharge at the energy input in a spherical channel in the pulse repetition mode is considered. A mathematical approach for the corresponding initial-boundary problem with moving boundary for the wave equation is developed. The analytical solution for the problem is obtained by the method of non-linear time transform. The influence of superimposed small pulsations on the linear function of the channel's radius growth is shown. Peculiarities of the electric discharge characteristic are revealed.
