Modeling of irregularities of the bottom layers in hydroacoustic waveguide on the basis of the normal-mode technique

An analytical-numerical algorithm of calculation of hydroacoustic waveguide with essentially varying parameters is offered. When developing the solution we accounted for the possibility to decompose the waveguide's domain into elementary subdomains, where the velocity potential is written as a sum of normal waves with undetermined coefficients. The infinite system of linear algebraic equations was obtained to found these coefficients. The examples of numerical calculations are presented. Satisfactory compliance of the results with experimental data is shown.
