Oscillation of submerged axisymmetric jet's membrane

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 4 ¹ 4, (2001) p.27-35
The axially symmetric hydrodynamic acoustic source, modelled with a submerged elastic underwater jet's membrane, is considered. The basic frequency of an acoustic signal is obtained as a function of the working fluid properties, the geometric and hydrodynamic parameters of jet. The principal possibility of controlling the signal's frequency by changing the elasticity of the fluid, as a function of hydrostatic pressure, is demonstrated.
