A plane symmetrical problem of impact of a slender elastic circular cylindrical shell on the surface of a liquid with allowance for separation

The paper deals with a plane problem on collision and immersion of a thin elastic circular cylindrical shell to compressible fluid with allowance for fluid separation from the shell on the segment of its wetted surface. The solution of the boundary problem is reduced to solving the infinite system of the Volterra integral equations of the second order. The comparative analysis has been performed for the results obtained with allowance for separation effect on the immersion process and without it.
