Estimation of power parameters of wave float power-station

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 18 (90) ¹ 2, (2016) p.58-63
The available energy of sea waves with maximal amplitude up to 3 m is estimated using the statistic data of observations of sea wave parameters along with the involving of the linear theory of waves and the theory of wave spectra. The average power for a period is estimated on the basis of a three-float module of the flexural floating WES. This power corresponds to 1 m of widths of wave front and the station. Simple calculation formulas for assessing of the maximal possible power efficiency of the module are proposed with the allowance of float displacement, lengths of levers and the in-process variation of float drought. The recommendations for choice of the optimal parameters of the WES module during the adaptation to the sea roughness parameters are given.
