Towards optimizing dry gas injection into condensate fields in the partial cycling mode

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 17 (89) ¹ 2, (2015) p.36-40
The study of optimizing gas condensate production (in the partial cycling mode) with the aim to increase its recovery from a condensate field has been carried out on the basis of the adjusted for phase transition physico-mathematical model of diphasic multicomponent filtration. The method of steepest descent is used in calculations. The algorithm has been worked out, how to optimally manage a natural condensate field development in the partial cycling mode, if new injection wells are brought in. The efficiency of the algorithm has been illustrated by the example of the simulated condensate field. Over 6% increase in gas condensate production potential is demonstrated for the optimum alternative owing to the prevention of the dry gas breakthrough into the producing gas condensate wells.
