Diffraction of surface gravity waves by a cylinder surrounded by perforated screen

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 16 (88) ¹ 4, (2014) p.46-53
Interaction of surface gravity waves with sea constructions of cylindrical form in the framework of the model of finite fluid depth is investigated. The problem is considered in a potential statement. The influence of a perforated screen, as a protective element surrounded the cylindrical construction, on decreasing power loads on base construction, changing of a free surface water elevation is investigated. Also, dependences of wave diffraction on such construction parameters as the screen perforate and its position relatively the cylinder is established. The analysis of plotting graphs of total scattering energy, scattering diagrams, forward and back-scattering is carried out conducted. It is shown that the perforated screen possesses the quality of wave absorber.
