Theoretical analysis of ordering cohesiveless soil structure at non-steady free planar groundwater flow

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 16 (88) ¹ 2, (2014) p.62-69
An approximate solution was obtained of non-steady groundwater free flow to perfect drain in non-deformable uniform soil at initial stage in hydraulic approximation. Using the expression for head gradient a regularity was established of hydraulic conductivity change within deformation region as a result of non-spherical skeleton particles re-orientation. Detailed theoretical analysis of drain effect in cohesiveless soil showed significance of hydrodynamic deformations for water table dynamics and drainage discharge.
