Steady plane (radial) filtering against drainage and generalized account of extremal suffosion

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 15 (87) ¹ 2, (2013) p.59-72
Steady-state tasks of axisymmetric and radial groundwater flow in cohesionless soil have been stated and exactly solved when given heads at the motion field boundaries. A technique of determining filtration "resistance" due to external piping has been developed on the basis of the solutions and the method of filtration resistances. A great number of examples have been calculated to illustrate the above solutions, technique. It was established that, as a result of deformations, drainage discharge could increase at several tens of per cents.
