In a 1D formulation the problem on the influence of the flow recirculation in a jet pump (JP) has been solved. A part of the flow pumped through the pump is sucked through narrow crosswise slits in the wall of outlet diffuser and fed back to the inlet of the cylinder mixing chamber (MC). A backflow is created due to an additional vacuum pump. The described design of JP is compared with a JP with self-suction through a wide slit on the edge of a bump in the domain of abrupt widening of flow on the MC outlet. It has been shown that recirculation essentially increases the effectiveness of jet pumps. |
