On problem of estimation of a sound field radiated by a developed cavity

The mathematical model is developed to describe a sound emission process by cavity flow at different cavitation numbers. The model of cavity as a sound source was developed on the basis of experimental data about physical and geometrical peculiarities of cavitation flow. In scope of this model concrete geometrical form cavity was used to develop an algorithm of quantitative characteristics estimation of the sound field in the frequency range from 300 Hz to 10000 Hz. The directivity characteristics of the radiation are calculated and its effect on the acoustic navigation devices is considered. The possible ways to reduce the noise of the cavitation are discussed.
