An unsteady motion of the point vortex in a two-layer liquid

The paper deals with solving of a linear problem on an unsteady motion of a two-dimensional vortex from the state of the rest in the two-layer deep medium at the finite thickness of the upper layer. The solution is obtained by quadratures. The peculiarities of forming of the amplitude field of disturbances at the interface between the layers and change of the power utilized by the vortex for emitting of their energy are analyzed on the example of two regimes. The first one is the uniform horizontal motion and the second one is the similar motion with superimposed steady periodic transversal motion.
