The obtained earlier by the author of the paper analytical solution that describes the dynamics of one-dimensional steady inviscid compact compensated vortex has been extended and it was pointed to the using of the solutions for a number of problems. First of all, for description of compact geophysical vortexes in atmosphere (tornadoes) and open ocean. The azimuthal velocity in column-like helicopter vortex is also well approximated by compact compensated vortex. Von Karman vortex streets of different natures (flow past cylinder, wing etc.) may well be described by compact compensated vortex model. In vortex ring model the velocity component that was described by Rankin vortex before is also described by compact compensated vortex. For the general axis-symmetrical flow, it was proved that vertical vorticity component compensation means compactness of the revolving domain. |
