A technique for calculation of parameters of pipe hydrotransport of polydisperse materials of different densities

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 12 (84) ¹ 1, (2010) p.48-54
The procedure of calculation of critical velocity and hydraulic gradient during slurry supercritical flow conditions in round pipes, which fist takes into account the influence of granulometric and density composition of transporting material, of the pipeline diameter and of slurry concentration, is offered. Slurry velocity at regime that was interfacial between flow regime without silting and with silting of pipe low wall was regarded as critical. At the heart of hydraulic gradient determination was Bernoulli generalized equation for enforced flow that takes into account slurry effective density.
