Forms of free surface and conditions of existence of hydrodynamic soliton, solitary, single and cnoidal waves

In correspondence with the obtained solutions for the generalised differential equation of the profile of free surface of wavelike near-critical flows for various values of the square of the module of elyptical Jacobi functions we determined outlines of free surface and conditions for existing various types of flows discussed, these conditions being expressed via flow characteristics in the initial intersection of phenomena studied. Conditions are determined of existing movable cnoidal waves and criteria of identifying solitary and various types of single waves. The influence is described of limiting and initial conditions on the existence of nearcritical flows.
