Maximum range problems are considered for the underwater supercavitating motion of axisymmetric body on inertia. Assumption of the constant body density and five different isoperimetric conditions were used: fixed body length, calibre or volume for fixed initial velocity, fixed initial momentum and fixed initial kinetic energy. The known asymptotic formulae for the slender cavity shape gave an opportunity to obtain simple analitic equations for optimal values of the body dimensions and the cavitator radius in three first problems. In cases of fixed initial momentum and fixed kinetic energy, optimal initial velocity and optimal body dimensions were found. Obtained results are in good agreement with calculations carried out with the programms SCAV developed at the Institute of Hydromechanics NAS of Ukraine. |
