Extended equations of viscous-inviscid interaction and their application to the problems of boundary layet type

Applied hydromechanics, Vol. 7 (79) ¹ 3-4, (2005) p.19-34
Problems on use of the boundary layer equations for an approximate solution of problems, in which an asymptotic evaluation of parameters for validation of the Prandtl classic boundary layer equations is not fully accomplished, are examined. The concept of boundary layer-type problems is formulated, and algorithms of their numerical solution are discussed. As specific examples, we consider problems on subsonic jets in a cocurrent supersonic flow (including problems on flows under irregular shock-wave interactions), the viscous-gas flow through narrow channels, and calculations of parameters in a viscous shock layer under the hypersonic flow around blunt bodies.
