Numerical simulation of the process of vortex pair initiation and motion

The vortex pair generation and its motion under short-tem outflow from narrow slot is computed using the discrete vortex method. Numerical visualisation is realized by means of fixing single particles and its tracing. It was carried out computer animation during the long time. The flow inner structure, vorticity dynamics and pair atmosphere, isolated particles trajectories, passive addictives transfer was investigated. The results are in a good agreement with known experimental and theoretical data.
