Stokes flow past an array of annular disks

The axisymmetric Stokes flow past three thin annular disks is considered. The system of Fredholm integral equations of the first kind with a logarithmic singularity, obtained from the condition of zero velocity at the disks, is transformed into an infinite linear system of algebraic equations of the second kind. The expansions of unknown densities in terms of the Chebyshev polynomials are used for this reducing. The geometrical parameter value dependence of the drag forces is analysed. The streamlines are presented to describe the kinematics of the flow.
