Unsteady konvective heat transfer in the boundary layer of the inhomogeniouse fluid

The results of the experimental investigations of the temperature field transformations within a laminar boundary layer over flat plate are presented. Two types of the temperature distributions (stepwise and periodical) are studied. It is shown that the isotherms turn in the boundary layer under action of the velocity shear and the vertical component of the temperature gradient arises. The experimental data characterizing the distribution of the disturbance amplitude of the temperature in the boundary layer are obtained. It is found that the penetration depth of the temperature disturbances depends on the wawe length. It is demonstrated that a boundary layer has the filtrating properties. The formation of the thin layered structures with high gradient of temperature (high gradient layer) is found.
