Comparing two approaches to solving of wave problems by a method of partial domains in the case of intersecting domains

The paper deals with describing of two approaches allowing the application of a method of partial domains in the cases of intersecting adjacent subdomains. The efficiency of two approaches is compared on an example of construction of a solution for the problem on propagation of a plane wave in a circular cylindrical waveguide with a spherical cavity.
