A model of sound generation by a counterflow hydrodynamic radiating system

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 16 ¹ 2, (2013-2014) p.43-46
A mathematical model for sound generation by a counterflow hydrodynamical radiating system is offered. A factor is introduced for determining of a degree of filling of the toroidal volume inside the sound generating element by vortex motion of a liquid to the moment of its explosion. This one is new in comparison with the model of a direct-flow system. The obtained transcendental dispersion equation relates the main frequency of the spectrum of generated oscillations with geometrical and hydrodynamical parameters of radiating system.
