Diffraction of a plane acoustic wave by a finite rigid cone in axial irradiation

The paper deals with solving of a problem on diffraction a plane acoustic wave by a finite rigid hollow cone in axial irradiation. The problem is solved in terms of the velocity potential using the technique of matching of eigenmodes for subdomains and analytical regularization procedure. The unknown expansion coefficients are determined from the infinite system of linear algebraic equations of the second kind that allow the obtaining of a solution with a desired accuracy. The effect of the finite cone parameters to its scattering characteristics is studied. The obtained numerical results are compared with the known ones for a disk.
