Dynamics of a submerged two-dimensional axisymmetric jet

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 15 ¹ 1, (2012) p.59-64
A liquid jet hydrodynamic transducer with a circular gap nozzle in the form of coaxial disks is modeled by oscillating submerged two-dimensional axisymmetric jet. A fundamental frequency of acoustic signal is calculated as a function of fluid properties, geometrical and hydrodynamic parameters of the jet. The theoretical results are compared with the experimental ones. A criterion for the resulted model conformity to practical radiators of this type is proposed.
