Transformation of a flow energy to the wall-pressure fluctuation field

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 15 ¹ 1, (2012) p.3-21
The paper deals with studying of features of flow energy transformation to wall-pressure fluctuations. The contributions of different factors observed in the canonical internal and external flows to variation of wall-pressure fluctuation intensity are compared. Summarizing results of the effect of the Reynolds and Karman numbers, diameters of sensitive surface of pressure fluctuation sensors and hole above the flush-mounted microphones on wall-pressure fluctuation intensity are presented. The maximum values of the acoustic-hydrodynamic coefficient which can be are measured by the point pressure fluctuation sensors are obtained. The limiting dependence from the Karman number is obtained for variation of wall-pressure fluctuation intensity of a turbulent flow above the smooth surface with zero pressure gradient.
