The computer processing and subsequent analysis of breath sounds from more than 500 patients allowed the qualitative and quantitative objectifying of main characteristic acoustic symptoms of COPD. On the base of obtained results, the physical models have been developed for breath sounds generation process at presence of artifacts produced by the morphological and physical changes in the lungs due to COPD.
