A solution for pulse characteristics of the Pekeris waveguide with an absorbing bottom obtained by the stationary phase method

Pulse characteristics of the separate modes in hydroacoustic Pekeris waveguide with an absorbing bottom have been calculated by the stationary phase method. The dispersion equation has been solved numerically in a wide frequency range. Group velocities of the modes and derivations of the horizontal wave number have been determined. Conditions of the stationary phase method applicability for calculating the bottom, underwater and Airy waves in the waveguide with an absorption have been specified.
