Acoustic properties and structure of modified polyvinylchloride and polyvinylbutyral

Acoustic bulletin, Vol. 10 ¹ 4, (2007) p.47-51
The paper deals with studying the behavior peculiarities in the temperature and ultrasonic fields at frequency of 0.4 MHz for the systems on the basis of a polyvinylchloride and polyvinylbutyral, containing the high-dispersed fillers. It is shown that the acoustic properties of a composite at longitudinal, shift and volumetric deformations depend on the length of structural element involved in rate process, physico-chemical properties of surface and content of fillers. The dissipation of energy of ultrasonic vibration is investigated. The values of monomeric friction coefficient, resonant and maximal frequencies of structural elements responsible for local and segment relaxation processes at 209 K≤T≤Tg+10 K are determined. Proceeding from the obtained results, spectrum of relaxation times of polymeric systems is calculated and analyzed.
