| The paper deals with considering a specific structural error due to uncertainty of the instrument position when measuring the vertical distribution of the sound velocity. This is a structural contribution that may dominate in the resulting error. It is shown that to reduce the error one should agree the instrumental error of the sound velocity measurement with that of the instrument depth. The criteria of such matching are presented. |
